 Helping deserving children from Lebanon's underprivileged families pursue their high school education. Saint Basil Scholarship Program is a Lebanese association run by the Orthodox Youth Movement. Its mission is to help needy children continue their high school education. The program was established roughly thirty years ago to meet the educational needs of students from underprivileged families, regardless of their religious affiliation or geographic location. Because the economic situation in Lebanon has been gradually declining, a greater number of families are living in poverty--unable to provide for the basic daily needs of their children. To be able to reach a larger number of students and extend its work to more areas in Lebanon, the Orthodox Youth Movement is seeking help from generous contributors in the United States. Saint Basil Scholarship Program is registered in the State of New York as a not-for-profit organization (ID number: 27-2779363) and has federal exemption status (ID number: 27-3044880).
