O Christ God, with the Saints grant rest to the soul of your servant, The Right Reverend Exarch Habib in a place where there is no pain, no grief, no sighing, but everlasting life.
The Eparchy of Saint Savior for the Greek Melkite Catholics in Canada, the Basilian Salvatorian Order, the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul, and the family of Father Habib thank God for Father's faithful service and ask for prayers for the repose of his soul.
Father Habib was born in Damascus, Syria on July 28, 1924. A member of the Basilian Salvatorian Order, Father Habib was ordained a priest on July 24, 1949. He taught and was a school principal in both Lebanon and Egypt from 1949 to 1965. In 1965 he arrived into Canada where he was appointed
Vicar to assist at St. Sauveur Parish in Montreal. Father Habib was appointed Administrator to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, in Ottawa, on September 26, 1969 and later Pastor on January 1, 1970.
Father Habib will be missed by a large family, countless friends and parishioners all over the world who worked alongside him for many years.
Friends may pay their respects at Saints Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road in Ottawa on Sunday, December 20 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM and from 7:00PM to 9:00PM, Monday, December 21 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, Tuesday, December 22 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM.

Charife Wahab (nee Farhat) 1945 - 2009 After a courageous battle with cancer and with her children and family by her side, Charife passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2009. Predeceased by her husband Ziki Wahab, and her father Ali Hassan Farhat. Survived by her mother Mariam Farhat in Lebanon. Loving mother and friend of Linda (Mustapha Yassine) in Lebanon, Mariam (Barry Kinny), Abdeen and Fairouz, sitou to Norah and Cameron Kinny. Devoted sister to Mohammad (Nadima) in Lebanon, Samir (Atra), Issaf, Yusef (Nawal) and Amal in Lebanon. Fondly remember by her many nieces and nephew and friends. Charife will always be remembered as a kind and loving person who cherished the time that she spent with everyone she touched along her journey. In life, Charife was most proud of her children and their accomplishments, of the adults that they became. Funeral service was held on Monday, December 7 at the Ottawa Mosque with interment at the Highland Park Cemetery in Carp. Mofid Saryeddine Passed graciously from this life on September 26, 2009. Ever devoted wife of 37 years Bader Saryeddine, adoring daughters Tina, Nadine, Randa Saryeddine, and much loved son in law Carl Desmarais (Randa) were all by his side.
