Cam was the beloved partner of Carolyn Tremblay and brother to Rene Kassim and John Saikaly.
He was the cherished father of Catherine MacDonald and William Shadid and grandfather to Deryck MacDonald and Robyn and Valerie Shadid and father-in-law to James De la Salle and Kristine Shadid.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Florence Saikaly and second wife Pluma RevereWynn.
Cam was born in Lebanon and immigrated to Canada in 1952 where he started his family and career.
He will be greatly missed by all his loved ones and his many friends in the U.S. and Canada.
Cam's family will be forever grateful to the Cancer Centre at the Ottawa General Hospital and The May Court Hospice and their staff for all their help and guidance.

On Monday, January 12, 2009, God called one of his angels home.
He was surrounded in hospital by his loving family, and after a short struggle with heart failure, he peacefully left us to take his place in heaven.
He leaves to mourn his wife Afaf (nee Tayar) of 46 years.
Cherished and much loved father of Raymond (Julie Welsh), Raymonda (Robert Dirani), Amal (Gary Eden) and Darlene (Michael DiNardo).
He will be greatly missed by his many grandchildren, Alexandra, Christopher, Emilie, Nicholas, Gabriella and Isabella.
Survived by his sister, Souad and his brothers Khalil (Georgette), Sam (Marie), Sleiman (Odette), Fouad (Beverley), Michel (Janet) and also by his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sister Nouhad (Fouad) in Lebanon. He will be missed by the many friends he made during his journey on this earth.
